A relative key riddle |
Question: Start in C major, go to the parallel minor, then go to its relative major, then to its parallel minor, then its enharmonic equivalent. What key are you in now?
Answer: Is this some kind of a bar bet? In a music theory bar? From C major the parallel minor is C minor, whose relative major is Eb Major, whose parallel minor is Eb minor, which could be called the enharmonic equivalent of D# minor. Or, if you really want to go crazy it could be the enharmonic equivalent of "Fbb minor," which is entirely theoretical. So in the real world you're in D# minor, the relative minor of F# major. I hope you can win something with that answer. |
